Dr. Leah Keating

Clinical Psychologist

You may be hoping to improve your relationships, increase your self-understanding, or work on a specific challenge. I work with issues such as abuse and complex trauma, sexuality, gender identity, disordered eating, body image, relationship difficulties, coping with overwhelming emotions, anxiety, depression, sexual concerns, substance use, and personality disorders.

I integrate various kinds of therapy (emotion focused, psychodynamic, acceptance and commitment, dialectical behaviour, and cognitive behavioural) in order to tailor therapy to you – your needs, interests, life experiences and preferences. My practice is feminist-informed and LGBTQ+ positive, I value collaboration and equality, and I welcome clients with diverse backgrounds.

My research has focused on LGBTQ+ individuals’ needs in therapy, on the community’s experiences of trauma and discrimination, on women’s recovery from abuse, and on the development and treatment of eating disorder symptoms.
