Dr. Kristine Iaboni
In my therapy practice, I work with adults from diverse backgrounds, genders and sexual orientations, including individuals, groups and couples. I am passionate about helping my clients tackle relationship and interpersonal issues, as well as struggles with depression, anxiety, trauma and mood-related concerns.
I am also trained in sex therapy. Talking about sex can be hard and uncomfortable sometimes. Therefore, I take an open, exploratory approach to helping individuals and/or couples understand and explore sexual experiences, concerns and preferences. Sex therapy is not just about learning techniques, but it is an opportunity to talk about questions, doubts, needs or wants that may feel difficult to discuss in other settings.
From our first session, I aim to make you feel welcomed, heard and safe. As we work together and trust develops, we will focus on your strengths and perspectives – not just solutions to your problems. We will explore how your thoughts, behaviours and emotions influence your experiences. Together, we will generate reasonable and realistic goals to help you develop and achieve the changes you are looking for in your life.
