Dr. Teresa Marin
Clinical Psychologist
In my sessions I follow your emotions to discover what is most important to you and identify what might be missing or keeping things stuck. I then help you to clarify your goals and progress toward them. My style is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental, and I approach each of my clients and their concerns with curiosity, thoughtfulness, and respect. I provide individualized treatment by drawing from different therapeutic approaches, including Emotion-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Mindfulness.
My clients come to me for a range of concerns, including difficulties with emotion and emotion regulation, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, depression, loneliness, post-traumatic stress disorder, and difficulties stemming from trauma, life stressors, and challenging life transitions. In addition to symptom resolution, I work with my clients to build self-compassion, resilience, and enhanced life satisfaction.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter, running and yoga, and relaxing with a good book or television show.
